Michael Sorth joined the public finance investment banking at Piper Jaffray, St. Louis office in July 2004. Mike brings fourteen years of experience in working with governmental entities in the Midwest.
While Sorth’s finance practice is national, he specializes in the Missouri marketplace. He has completed financings using tools such as lease revenue bonds, tax increment financing (TIF), transportation development districts (TDD) and community improvement districts (CID). Former and present clients include City of Richmond Heights, City of St. Louis, City of Clayton, City of Osage Beach, Park East Community Improvement District and numerous private real estate developers. Sorth is a member of the Missouri Growth Association, International Council of Shopping Centers and various other economic development, real estate and finance related organizations. The St. Louis Business Journal included Sorth in their 2006 40 Under 40 Class. Sorth graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in public administration. |
