Michael Schulman is a Managing Director of the Partner Practice Group in Major, Lindsey & Africa's Los Angeles office. Michael graduated magna cum laude from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in comparative literature, and did post-graduate work at the Universite de Paris, Sorbonne.
Before coming to MLA, Michael was a partner and opened the Los Angeles office of The McKinley Group, a national legal consulting firm specializing in placing partners, practice groups and consulting on law firm merger opportunities. Previously, Michael spent over ten years in the entertainment industry, beginning his career in the Beverly Hills office of the William Morris Agency and subsequently moving to International Creative Management as an agent in the Motion Picture Department where he represented and brokered deals for writers, directors, and production companies.
Michael's experience as an agent is the ideal complement to how MLA positions itself in the legal search market, and he has a consistent track record of placing top-level legal talent at prominent law firms throughout California and the Southwest.
Michael lives in Beverly Hills with his wife Liza and their two young children, and he wishes he had more time for hobbies.
