Mr. Schneiderwind began his career with Control Data, then moved to Martin Marietta, IBM and finally to Vitesse Semiconductor. He has demonstrated engineering innovation his entire career, specializing in full custom design. He has successfully developed many ASICs in CMOS and GaAs, and he has a strong background in device physics. Mr. Schneiderwind has designed high speed circuits, analog, mixed signal and digital. Among his many programs, he was project lead for a large design team developing a 320 G b/s transceiver and intelligent switch, designed full custom DRAM and SRAM devices, and designed a chip for NASA currently flying on the space shuttle. His research includes development of new circuit techniques to minimize the effects of Single Event Upsets in space environments. He earned his BSEE from the University of Nebraska in 1981, has authored numerous papers detailing his research and holds two patents. |
