Michael Savelle has worked within the energy distribution business for over 20 years. Only a few years after graduating with honors from the University of Florida, Savelle purchased Metrogas, Inc. a Miami-based distributor of propane gas for both the commercial and residential sectors. Under Mr. Savelle’s leadership, MetroGas grew quickly, and in 1992 Savelle purchased a second Miami business, Ranco Oil, a light fuels and Mobil Oil lubricant distributor. It was only two years later in 1994 that Mr. Savelle decided to merge with another Mobil distributor, Young Oil Company, located in Pompano Beach, Florida. That merger led to Mr. Savelle being named CFO of the company. In addition to general management duties, Mr. Savelle is responsible for all fuel procurements for the company. |
