Michael Samuhel, PhD, a senior research statistician, has held a variety of executive research positions since joining RTI in 1995. He has over 20 years of experience as a researcher and an executive, and has held research and management positions with the Battelle Memorial Institute, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Census Bureau, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Samuhel is a National Science Foundation postdoctoral fellow and has worked extensively in the health and social sciences areas including health information technology, data privacy, global health, environment, energy, education, health services, military health, public health, AIDS, cancer, and maternal health. In recognition of his work developing research programs at CDC, RTI senior management selected Dr. Samuhel for the President’s Award in 2003. Dr. Samuhel was elected to the Board of the North Carolina Health Information and Communications Alliance in 2004. |
