Mike has over 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry specifically in biological applications and joins GloriOil from Coskata Inc., where he was involved in the fermentation of synthesis gas to ethanol. Mike began his career at the Gas Technology Institute using anaerobic digestion to convert varied waste streams to biogas. He has also worked in the area of bioremediation; using microbes to degrade polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons typically associated with manufactured gas plants, thermal depolymerization, waste stream BOD reduction using anaerobic bacteria, and in the area of microbial influenced corrosion (MIC) mitigation in natural gas pipelines. He has also been involved in site litigations involving site reconnaissance, historical data review, and waste identification to eliminate the client as a responsible party for clean up. Mike holds a B.S. in microbiology from the University of Iowa. |
