Russell & Company, Michael Russell is a visionary leader. He serves as the key driver of the company’s strategic direction and continues to preserve the core values of entrepreneurship, empowerment and excellence that his father, Herman Russell, instilled in the company. Michael grew up in the construction business and has been dedicated to the industry his entire career. He launched his professional career as a Construction Manager for architect, John Portman. He returned to the family business four years later with a broader understanding of the construction and development industry. At H.J. Russell & Company, Michael served in various capacities including Field Engineer, Project Manager, and Head of Business Development before taking the helm as CEO. In each of these roles, he executed with integrity and excellence and led the company to greater success. Mr. Russell enhances the quality of life in the communities H.J. Russell serves through his involvement in various organizations, including: Metro Chamber Executive Committee, Commerce Club Board of Directors, University of Virginia Engineering School Board of Trustees, Georgia State University Athletic Association Board, Children’s Healthcare Foundation Board and 100 Black Men of Atlanta. Michael is married to Lovette Twyman Russell and has two sons. |
