Michael Rowan is a UK entrepreneur with extensive experience in the Asian markets. As Director M&A, Mr. Rowan provides Asian market development strategies for U.K. and U.S. portfolio companies.
From 1993 to 2003, Mr. Rowan served as the head of the Equity Capital Markets Division of Merrill Lynch. In 1996, he became the director of the division, responsible for structuring and pricing equity transactions - including IPOs and privatizations, demutualizations and advisements on mergers and acquisitions. In 2002, he left Merrill Lynch and became a director of Accelera Capital, a private equity fund headquartered in Hong Kong.
In addition to his extensive financial experience, Mr. Rowan is a British-qualified lawyer and had practiced Commercial Law at Linklaters and Alliance, a London based law firm with offices in Hong Kong and New York.
