Michael Pujol is an associate in the Global Corporate Department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. He joined Milbank's Munich office in 2005 and has now been working in the Frankfurt office since fall 2007. He specializes in corporate law with particular emphasis on mergers & acquisitions and private equity transactions.
His recent transaction experience includes the acquisition by ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG of the Dutch-Scandinavian broadcasting group Scandinavian Broadcasting Systems (SBS); the sale of SULO, a jointly owned portfolio company of Apax and Blackstone, to Veolia Environnement; the LBO of the Wessel-Werk Group by DZ Private Equity; the sale of the HAPA and Laetus Business by Robbins & Myers to Coesia; the acquisition of Cleanaway Germany as well as the Henning Umwelt Management Group by SULO; the sale of Trocellen by HT Troplast, a joint portfolio company of the Carlyle Group and Advent International, to Furukawa Electric Co. and Otsuka Chemical Co.
Born in 1972, Michael Pujol received his legal education at the universities of Cologne, Freiburg and Paris I (Sorbonne), where he obtained a Maîtrise en Droit. Before joining the firm, he was assistant at the institute for commercial and corporate law at the University of Freiburg, where he completed his doctoral thesis on corporate and insolvency law.
