With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Michael Owings joined Phase Forward as Senior Manager, Corporate Quality Affairs, later assuming responsibility as Director, Quality and Regulatory Compliance, North America. He is responsibility for ensuring that the organization is in compliance with the Phase Forward Quality Charter, and relevant government and industry regulations for the delivery of Phase Forward software products and consulting services.
Before joining Phase Forward, Owings held positions in large and small pharmaceutical companies. There he focused on the implementation of quality systems and the validation of computer systems in support of drug development/data acquisition, as well as manufacturing. For over 15 years, Owings worked for Marion Merrell Dow (HMR/Aventis), during which he completed such duties as implementing quality systems and validating software.
Owings holds a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri.
