Michael O'Connor, CPA, is a partner with Carlin, Charron & Rosen, LLP where he is a full-time tax specialist. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland with a BS degree in accounting in 1981, and also holds a paralegal certificate from George Washington University where he was the class valedictorian. Mr. O'Connor joined the firm in 1991 after an eight year career as a senior tax manager with Arthur Young & Co., Coopers & Lybrand and Peat Marwick. During 1975, he joined the staff of Tax Management, Inc. (a well-known tax publication) in Washington, D.C. as a technical editor. Mr. O'Connor subsequently achieved the position of managing editor before changing careers to public accounting. Mr. O'Connor has extensive experience in general corporate tax planning, compensation planning, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, estate/gift planning and succession planning for the closely-held business. |
