Practice
Mr. Moscato is a partner in the Litigation Department and has been with the Firm since 1989. He was co-lead counsel for Arthur Andersen LLP in the recently concluded WorldCom class action trial before Hon. Denise Cote of the Southern District of New York. He has represented Arthur Andersen LLP and its audit personnel in numerous significant matters, including the WorldCom litigation, the Sunbeam securities litigation and Colonial Realty. He has defended accounting cases in state and federal courts, in proceedings conducted by the SEC, and in matters brought by state accountancy boards.
Mr. Moscato has extensive experience defending accounting firms and corporations in securities and ERISA class actions, and defending individuals in white-collar criminal cases and regulatory investigations and proceedings.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Moscato was a senior staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division, where he conducted numerous felony jury trials.
