Dr. Milone is an award-winning educational writer and consultant to publishers and school districts. He earned a Ph.D. in 1978 from The Ohio State University and has served in an adjunct capacity at Ohio State, the University of Arizona, Gallaudet University, and New Mexico State University. He has taught regular and special education programs at all levels, holds a Master of Arts degree from Gallaudet University, and is fluent in American Sign Language. He recently served on the board of directors of Edpress, the Association of Educational Publishers, and is a member and past chair of the Technology and Literacy Committee of the International Reading Association. He contributes to both readingonline.org and Technology & Learning magazine on a regular basis. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Milone has been involved in a broad range of publishing projects. He has co-authored or written chapters in textbooks dealing with computers, gifted education, special education, reading management, research on handwriting, and learning styles. |
