Michael Miller has been with IDT for more than 15 years and serves as the company's chief technical officer (CTO) responsible for systems-level technical issues and managing the Systems Technology Group. The group is responsible for working with product lines in anticipating industry trends evaluating new technologies and customer requirements product definition and design of new communications-specific products and creating system-level reference designs. Leveraging his experience in system architecture software and complex logic Miller drives the strategy and development of new systems architectures and technologies. Specific responsibilities include working with the IDT strategic marketing group to evaluate new markets and identify how they map to the IDT current product portfolio or acquisition strategy as well as working with IDT product lines to help implement and develop new products processes and system-level technologies that are designed to satisfy the complex requirements of leading communications companies.
Previously Miller held engineering management positions in software applications and product definition. Prior to joining IDT Miller was involved with managing software teams within two systems companies for five years. In addition he managed the designing of complex logic and bitslice at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
Miller holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and has been awarded 25 patents to date. |
