Michael Matlat joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 2007 and serves as a Director specializing in the disposition of both leased and fee owned real estate and in the negotiation of lease terminations, concessions. and settlements with landlords. As a facilitator, he brings together buyers, sellers, attorneys, and other parties of interest to resolve problems and create value for healthy and distressed companies with the Real Estate Services team.
Prior to joining KPMG Corporate Finance, Mike worked at Keen Consultants for 14 years. He has also held positions at Lanier Worldwide and the Local 1298 Laborers' Union. He has been instrumental in multi-million dollar real estate transactions for Barney's, Service Merchandise, Pillowtex assets, Frank's Nursery and Crafts, and Family Golf Centers. These transactions included sales of property, diverse portfolio assets, and leases to national and local retailers.
Mike holds an M.S. in Education from Dowling College in Oakdale, New York, and a B.S. in Business Administration from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. |
