Dr. Martin hails originally from New England. He attended the University of Rhode Island for three years before joining the US Navy and moving to the West Coast. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and his medical degree from the University of Arizona. He completed his residency and cardiology fellowship training at Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix. This was followed by a year of post doctoral study in the department of bioengineering at ASU, after which he joined the cardiology and critical care staff at Maricopa County. Dr. Martin moved to the Seattle area in 1993 and joined Southlake Clinic in 1998. He is Board Certified in Cardiology and Critical Care, is a member of the clinical faculty of the family practice residency, and the Director of Cardiac Rehab services at Valley Medical Center. Dr. Martin and his wife Trish (who is also a physician) have five children, three grand children and a black lab named Mulligan. He is a member of the Sahalee Country Club where he plays to a 7 handicap and unsucessfully competes for a club championship on a yearly basis. |
