Michael is a mobile internet pioneer. In his role as CTO, Michael drives the innovation of Openwave's industry-leading software solutions and services. With over twenty years of management and engineering design experience, Michael has co-authored industry standards and held industry leadership positions in OMA, WAP Forum, CDG, TIA and PCMIA. He also developed the first WAP 2 deployment in Japan.
Previously, Michael was Openwave's Vice President of Consulting Engineering, the technology arm of the CTO office. His elite team drove active engagements with customers worldwide and generated an average of $50 million per year as a result of these direct strategic engagements. Michael has been awarded nine patents in the mobile telecommunications field, and he's one of only three employees to earn the Distinguished Engineer title for his exceptional innovation in the telecommunications industry.
Before re-joining Openwave, Michael served as CTO for 724 Solutions, where he was responsible for technical strategy and standards. He also managed the development of five product lines for the network and data services company. |
