A lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio, he was inspired to fly by watching aircraft fly into Akron-Canton Airport.
He earned his private license in November 1984 followed by his commercial and instrument ratings in May 1985. His first job was flying skydivers and towing banners from Martin Field, which he did on weekends for nine years.
His first experience with Castle Aviation and 135 operations was in May 1992. From there it was riding on the newspaper routes and becoming a PA32 captain to build time and experience. In May 1997 he became full time in PA 31's and then in Caravans in 1998.
He still makes Canton his home with his wife Anne of 13 years. They have four children, Joseph, eight; Taylor, five; and
Alex and Anthony, two and a half. When time permits, he enjoys riding his motorcycle. |
