Mr. Lefkowitz is a former Program Director of The Samueli Foundation, based in Corona del Mar, CA. The Foundation's charter is to create societal value by making high leverage investments in programs that are innovative, entrepreneurial and sustainable in a number of focused fields. Mr. Lefkowitz spent over 30 years in the telecommunications industry collecting engineering, research, marketing, and management experience prior to joining MiCardia's Board of Directors.Mr. Lefkowitz is involved in a number of Orange County organizations. He sits on the Board of Governors of Chapman University, the Executive Committee of the MIND Institute, the Board of Directors of Project Tomorrow and the Crystal Cove Alliance, the KOCE Education Committee and the Community Advisory Board of Morasha Day School. He recently chaired the Capital Campaign for the new Samueli Jewish Campus in Irvine.Mr. Lefkowitz holds a BSEE degree from The Cooper Union and MSEE from New York University. He is also a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Institute Management Program. |
