Mr. Laven an Executive Vice President at Traiana has had a long career in financial technology in both Silicon Valley and London. Most recently based in London, he was the CEO of Iris Financial, a provider of fixed income and equity trading software to the world's largest banks and prior to Iris he was the COO of KWI, the leading European provider of energy trading systems. Mr. Laven was previously the CEO of Infinity Financial Technology, a risk management software company, which after a successful IPO was acquired by Sungard Data Systems. He was then the President of the Sungard Trading and Risk Division, the largest provider of financial trading systems. Mr. Laven has extensive experience in building and leading venture-backed software companies. Based in Silicon Valley, he was the CEO of Cohera, a venture-backed Internet infrastructure start-up that was acquired by PeopleSoft. He has also held executive positions at Ask/Ingres and Dun and Bradstreet Software. Mr. Laven has a B.A. in Anthropology from Wesleyan University, M.A. in International Affairs from The School for International Training and a M.Ed. from Harvard. |
