Michael Korcuska is the Chief Operating Officer of ELT and has almost 20 years of experience in computer-based training. He is responsible for ELT's Implementation Services, Customer Support, Technology Platform and Administrative functions. Prior to joining ELT, Michael served in several roles at DigitalThink, including Managing Director of Learning Strategy and Regional Vice President of Professional Services. Prior to DigitalThink, Michael was Vice President of Professional E-Learning Solutions at Cognitive Arts, an award winning custom e-learning developer. Michael got his start in technology-based learning in the late 1980s at Stanford University's Courseware Authoring Tools Lab and Apple Computer's Multimedia Lab. Michael holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University and was the recipient of a Walter Murphy and an AASERT research fellowship. At Northwestern he worked and studied at The Institute for the Learning Sciences and specialized in educational software development tools. Michael received his B.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University. Michael has spoken frequently at online learning conferences. In 2005 he was named as member of the Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee (BRAC) that advises the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC) on drafting regulations regarding AB1825, the California law that requires periodic sexual harassment training. |
