Mike Kenney serves as President of Thomas & Betts operations in Canada Australia and Asia a position he has held since joining Thomas & Betts in 1996. He also manages the company’s emergency lighting business on a global basis.
Thomas & Betts has long been a leader in Canadian electrical markets. Mr. Kenney oversees an organization comprised of more than 2 000 employees 11 manufacturing facilities and one regional distribution center.
Mr. Kenney began his professional career with GTE progressing steadily through a variety of management positions most notably chief financial officer of the GTE International Group vice president and general manager of Latin American lighting operations and president of GTE Sylvania Canada Limited. He also served as president of Osram Sylvania Limited a Siemens company.
Mr. Kenney has been an active and visible presence in Canadian electrical industry associations for many years. He has served as chair of the Electro-Federation of Canada and the Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association of Canada.
Mr. Kenney received a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts.
