Michael Johnson serves as co-President of the Brightline Learning Division of Global Compliance. In this role, Johnson leads the development of training curriculum, delivers training on conducting lawful and effective internal investigations, and is a frequent conference speaker on training topics. Johnson is a former senior trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, where he was hired under the Attorney General's Honors Program. During his time with the Department of Justice, Johnson investigated and litigated numerous cases against employers across the country. He brought one of the Department of Justice's first "pattern or practice" sexual harassment cases. The United Nations selected Johnson to consult on the development of its sexual harassment policy and investigation procedures. The UN also selected Mr. Johnson to provide investigative training to UN staff in New York and in the UN's peacekeeping missions in the Congo and Sierra Leone. Johnson is a graduate of Duke University and Harvard Law School. |
