After an early career as a newspaper reporter, Mike Gavaghen began selling information technology and never looked back. In the mid-90s he established one of the industry's first around-the-clock sales operations, to provide technology solutions to the Far East branches of US corporations. Nine months later his company was named "Vendor of the Year" by AT&T in Taiwan. Moving to Maryland in 1999, he became the Director of Network Services for a major mid-Atlantic provider of cabling solutions, and spearheaded their transformation into a "one-stop shop" for data and voice systems in five states. He has since designed and oversaw the implementation of successful managed services offerings for several systems integrators, and has spoken on business development at numerous industry conferences. His committment to demanding a strong business rationale for any technology solution continues to provide aggressive returns on investment for BISG's clients. |
