Mike Garrity
Vice President of Finance and Administration
Mike Garrity is currently serving as Vice President of Finance and Administration of General Dynamics Information Technology. He is responsible for the overall performance of the financial, facilities and information technology facets of General Dynamics Information Technology. He also oversees the company's ISO-9001 registered Quality Management System. Prior to his current position, Mr. Garrity was the program manager for the divestiture of GTE Government Systems Corporation. He was responsible for all aspects of the divestiture, from preparation of an offering memorandum, through the preparation and negotiation of the Stock Purchase Agreement. He was previously the Director of Finance and Business Administration for GTE Worldwide Telecommunications Services, where he was responsible for financial operations. Mr. Garrity has extensive experience in program financial management, process improvement implementation and proposal preparation and negotiation. In addition, he has held responsibility for the direction of program reviews for the purpose of evaluating project planning and program progress and the identification of problem solving initiatives. He also has experience in the financial management of international programs, Government Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and has served as the organization's Contract Compliance Council Chairman. In 1991, Mr. Garrity was Controller of GSC Services Sector, with major operations in Massachusetts, Virginia, and California. In 1989, he served as Controller of Electronic Systems and Services and in 1987 he was appointed Controller of the Tactical Switching Systems Division. Mr. Garrity holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bentley College and a master's degree in business administration from Babson College.
