As chief actuary, Mike is responsible for the professional leadership of CNA's actuarial function. This includes property and casualty pricing and reserving, and support for other corporate functions.
Mike joined CNA in November 2000 from Insurance Services Office (ISO), where he was executive vice president. He also served as principal, Actuarial and Risk Management Consulting Practice, at Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young). He is a Fellow and past president of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and board member of RVI.
