Michael Donnelly, Senior Vice President, Exploration, P. Geo., graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Geology. He began his career as a Field Geologist with Noranda Exploration in the U.S., and over time held successive positions of increasing responsibility within Noranda Exploration in the Southwest and Eastern U.S. In 1995, Michael relocated to Chile and rose to the position of General Manger Exploration Southern Hemisphere for Noranda. In 2003, he moved to Toronto where he held the position of General Manager Copper Exploration Latin America with the combined Noranda-Falconbridge groups. In this position, he was directly involved with the planning and execution of their global exploration efforts.Michael brings a successful exploration track record to IAMGOLD and extensive international experience in the mining industry. Notable achievements include hands-on involvement with the discovery and delineation of four significant gold and base metals deposits in addition to the world-class La Fortuna deposit in Chile.Senior Vice President, Exploration |
