Michael Cereseto focuses his practice on general and complex business litigation including mortgage lender representation, real estate, construction, breach of contract disputes, unfair competition, partnership and business dissolution disputes, insurance and reinsurance, financial institutions, fraud claims and class actions. He is currently litigating cases on behalf of national mortgage lenders in federal and state courts in the jurisdictions of California, New York, Oklahoma, Missouri, Michigan, Illinois, Colorado and New Jersey.
During his extensive career as a litigator, Mr. Cereseto has successfully resolved numerous complex business matters. He has tried cases in federal and state courts including the California Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court. Mr. Cereseto has litigated cases involving, mortgage lenders, high rise construction defects, title insurance claims, land use, easement, license and trademark, and fire insurance coverage issues. He also has extensive experience in class actions brought under the Business and Professions Code Section 17200. Mr. Cereseto is a member of the American Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Mr. Cereseto received his B.A. cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1970. He received his J.D. in 1973 from the University of California School of Law at Los Angeles.
