Experience:
Michael Cashman is a partner in the corporate tax group in the London office of Mayer Brown. His practice focuses on both UK and international tax, with an emphasis on cross-border tax planning, particularly US/UK tax planning. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations, corporate finance, private equity, executive compensation and share schemes. Michael, who joined Mayer Brown’s London office in 2007, has also spoken at conferences and is a contributor to many legal journals, including Taxation, Tax Planning International Review, International Tax Report, Eurowatch and The In-House Lawyer.

Advising a number of US corporations on a tax efficient reorganisation and subsequent listing in the UK, including advice on restructuring their employee share incentive arrangements.
Recommending and implementing a reorganisation of a worldwide pharmaceutical group.
Advising a US investment bank on various acquisitions in the UK.
Advising on the structuring and establishment of a worldwide joint venture for the exploitation of music publishing rights.
