Mike Carey serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s New York office. He is a member of DHR International’s Consumer and Life Sciences Technology Practice Groups. Prior to joining DHR International, Mr. Carey was the President of MFC Associates, Inc., a management consulting firm that he founded and built for over 18 years. His experience with Fortune 500 companies has lead to multi-million dollar increases in revenue performance in industries ranging from Consumer Products, OTC/HealthCare, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Diagnostics. Since 1989, Mr. Carey has consulted for almost 40 global companies on over 100 global brands, helping his clients build global brand equity and exceptional senior management leadership. He has enjoyed both long-standing and deep advisory relationships with clients like Nestle, Church & Dwight, Bayer, Sara Lee and Kellogg. For the world’s largest diagnostic company, Mr. Carey has consulted extensively on their Glucose Monitoring business in the US and Canada for 10 plus years, helping transform and consumerize the US business and helping this worldwide leader achieve overall market leadership in the US. He subsequently transferred the US growth strategies to Canada and helped grow the business there at a 5 multiple over ten years. His ability to build trust with global senior management further expanded his relationship into Europe and Latin America assignments. Mr. Carey’s success in this capacity comes from his ability to deliver marketplace results for his clients. These results have generated long-standing relationships based on trust and a delivery-focused approach to client service. Mr. Carey received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Joseph’s University. He also has dual citizenship, as he is a member of the European Union and is a US citizen. Mr. Carey has worked extensively in Europe, Latin America, Canada and the US.
