Michael Buchheim Executive Vice President and General Manager, Distribution and Commerce
Michael Buchheim is Macrovision’s executive vice president and general manager of the Distribution and Commerce Business Unit.
Michael Buchheim is responsible for the direction and development of Macrovision’s Distribution and Commerce Business Unit, focusing on the digital distribution and managed content requirements for providers of digital goods, including games and information publishing. Previously, Buchheim was Macrovision’s senior vice president of global services, and was responsible for worldwide professional services and support for the software product lines, including the RightAccess and RightCommerce solutions. He also oversaw systems engineering on a worldwide basis.
Prior to joining Macrovision, Buchheim served as vice president of research business development at Gartner, and the worldwide head of technology research at META Group prior to its acquisition by Gartner.
Buchheim entered into the consulting business at The Bennett Group International, where he held various positions leading up to senior vice president of sales and services, responsible for worldwide sales and professional services, executive consulting, corporate strategic direction, and new research offerings.
Buchheim also held various technical posts at Vangard Group of Investment Companies and Prudential Insurance Company. He studied Computer Science at Spring Garden College in Pennsylvania and holds ITIL certification. |
