Michael Boult joined StarCite as president and chief operating officer in May 2005 with more than 20 years of experience in travel and business strategy. In October of 2005 he was named as CEO. He led the planning and integration of the recent merger between StarCite and OnVantage. In January 2007 he was named One of the Top 25 Most Influential Leaders in Business Travel by Business Travel News. In February 2007 he received the Emerald E3 - Private Company Entrepreneur of the Year and in March 2007 he was recognized as a Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Magazine. Prior to StarCite, he served as founder and COO of eCLIPSE Advisors. The business was acquired by American Express in 2004 and operated as a subsidiary focused on developing and implementing spend management technology for global corporations and suppliers in the airline, car rental and car rental industries. Prior to this position, he served as Vice President, Global Supplier Relations for Rosenbluth International. He co-created myTravelbid.com: the travel industry’s first online negotiation exchange solution for airline procurement. A regular contributor to the national media, Mr. Boult has published a variety of White Papers regarding travel industry issues. He was the recipient of The Communicators’ Crystal Award for best business White Paper. Prior to Rosenbluth International, Mr. Boult spent seven years in pricing and revenue management positions at both British Airways and British Caledonian Airways.
