Mr. Warren, 60, is Chairman of the Company. He has been employed by the Company in various capacities since 1983. He was elected President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company and all of its subsidiaries in January 1992 was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of Alagasco and Energen Resources in October 1995 was elected Chief Executive Officer of the Company in February 1997 and was elected Chairman of the Board of Energen and its subsidiaries in January 1998. He serves as a director of the Company and each of its subsidiaries. Mr. Warren is also a director of Protective Life Corporation and Associated Electric and Gas Insurance Services Limited. He was chairman of the American Gas Association in 2002 and is on the board of trustees of the Gas Technology Institute and the American Gas Foundation. He is a graduate of Auburn University and Duke University Law School.
