W. Michael Barnes served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Rockwell International Corporation from 1991 until his retirement in 2001. Dr. Barnes joined Collins Radio Company in 1968 as a member of the corporate operations research staff in Dallas. Collins was acquired by Rockwell in 1971, and Dr. Barnes held various management positions for the next several decades. He was named a distinguished alumnus by the Texas A&M University College of Engineering in 1992, is a member of the Texas A&M University chancellor’s Century Council, and is on the university’s Engineering Advisory Board. In 1997, Dr. Barnes became a member of the Orange County Business Council and was also appointed to the governorship of Town Hall of Los Angeles. |
