Michael W. Anderson assumed his duties as Churchill Downs Incorporated's ("CDI") vice president of corporate finance in January 2002. His chief responsibilities include overseeing CDI's internal and external financial reporting, annual profit planning, capital planning and forecasting. He also coordinates tax return preparation and external audits for the Company.
Prior to his tenure at CDI, Anderson served as a public accountant for Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers) and included Churchill Downs among his clients. He gained a wide range of experience by performing audits in various industries, including property and casualty insurance, accident and health insurance, health care, not-for-profits and retail. He joined Churchill Downs as a controller in November 1996 and was promoted to the position of corporate controller for CDI in 1999.
Anderson holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky and is a certified public accountant. |
