Michael T. Cowhig, age 60, retired December 2006 as president of Global Technical and Manufacturing of the Gillette business unit of Procter and Gamble, a position he held since January 2004. Mr. Cowhig joined The Gillette Company in 1968 and, during his 36-year tenure, has held various operational positions of increasing responsibility. From 1984 to 1991 he served as vice president of Manufacturing for North American operations and from 1991 to 1995 he was vice president of Program and Materials Management. From 1996 to 2003 he held a variety of manufacturing and supply chain positions which culminated in his appointment as president, Global Technical and Manufacturing, in which he oversaw all of Gillette's manufacturing and research and development activities. Mr. Cowhig is also a director of CCL Industries. |
