Michael S. Ripper is a Director in the Restructuring & Turnaround Group. He provides crisis management and turnaround services to under-performing companies in the general industrial sector with a special emphasis in automotive. His career is the culmination of over 17 years in various strategic, operations, and financial management roles. Mr. Ripper has managed financial and operational turnaround strategies for manufacturing and other clients involving debtor, creditor, and customer constituents. He is an accomplished cost and profitability expert, and has been involved in sell-side M&A transactions. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Ripper held a senior general management role at a sizeable automotive manufacturer, during which time he, in part, had primary responsibility for restructuring operations in the US and Mexico. Previously, Mr. Ripper was with a boutique turnaround consulting firm based in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Ripper is a graduate of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, where he earned his MBA in Corporate Strategy and Finance, and Michigan Technological University, where he earned his MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering. He has also attained designations as a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) and a registered Professional Engineer (PE). |
