Mike Shannon joined Conseco's board of directors in September 2003. He is the co-founder and current president and chief executive officer of KSL Recreation Corporation. Founded in 1992 KSL is one of the leading owners and operators of golf courses and destination resorts in the U.S. Prior to KSL's founding Shannon served for six years as president and CEO of Vail Associates one of the largest ski resorts in North America.
Before joining Conseco's board Shannon was lead director of ING Americas. He currently serves as a director of ING Direct.
Shannon holds a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's degree in accounting and finance from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. |
