Mike, is a native of Senatobia and graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Accountancy and Masters of Taxation degrees. While attending Mississippi State, Mike was recognized with the Outstanding Graduate Student Award and was a President’s and Dean’s Scholar. He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (Business), Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting), and the IMA Accounting Society. Prior to joining GranthamPoole, Mike was a senior accountant for a regional accounting firm and assisted in bank audits, Employee Benefit Plan audits and Sox 404 engagements, along with tax return preparation. As a member of GranthamPoole’s tax team, Mike will be responsible for preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, gift and property tax returns. Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Mississippi Society of CPAs. He has recently assisted in projects with Habitat for Humanity and Bulldog Club activities. Mike and his wife, Mara, reside in Brandon. In his leisure time, Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and caring for the family’s two West Highland White terriers. |
