Michael Webster is chief strategy and communications officer for NCR Corporation, responsible for driving the development and implementation of the company’s business strategy, as well as government affairs, corporate communications and branding strategies.
Prior to this role, he served as vice president, Self-Service Solutions Division and led all aspects of NCR’s self-service business across multiple industry segments including retail, hospitality, travel, healthcare, public sector and gaming.
Webster joined NCR in 1989 as a sales specialist in St. Louis. His development with NCR has included positions as area director for NCR’s Teradata division, executive account director for the Retail Solutions Division and vice president and general manager, NCR FastLane.
NCR has made a number of strategic acquisitions under Webster's leadership, including: Kinetics, self-service solution provider for the travel and hospitality industry; Galvanon, self-service solution provider for the healthcare industry; and InfoAmerica, a leader in self-service order-and-pay solutions for fast-food restaurants.
In January 2003, Chain Store Age magazine named Webster to its Rising Stars list of 40 leaders under the age of 40.
Webster holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Dayton.
