Experience:
Mike Feagley focuses his practice on jury trials in commercial litigation, including the defense and prosecution of high stakes product liability suits and mass tort wrongful death suits, and on emergency litigation.He has been the first chair in more than 45 jury trials, bench trials, and evidentiary hearings regarding damage claims, injunctions, and emergency relief. He has appeared in state courts in Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio and Colorado, and in federal courts in Illinois, New York, Indiana, Missouri, Maine and Oklahoma.
Mike represents business entities in civil litigation in federal and state courts involving federal statutes (the Air Transportation Safety and Stabilization Act and other airline regulatory statutes, securities laws, RICO, antitrust statutes, ERISA, the Lanham Act, the Patent Act, banking statutes, and the Federal Dealer Day in Court Act), state statutes (consumer protection statutes, motor vehicle franchise acts, trade secret statutes, and banking statutes), common law claims (contract disputes, construction disputes, fraud, lender liability, product liability, personal injury, interference with contract, and theft of trade secrets), other commercial litigation, and commercial and international arbitrations. He also provides advice regarding avoidance of and preparation for potential future litigation.
Mike’s appellate experience includes appellate briefs and arguments in Illinois appellate courts and various federal appellate courts, including the Seventh Circuit, the Eighth Circuit and the Tenth Circuit. He has been with Mayer Brown since 1973.
