Michael R. Shaw has twenty years of experience working at Jones Waldo as an associate and shareholder and now serves of counsel at the firm’s St. George office. His litigation practice focuses on the areas of commercial law, real estate, personal injury, employment and domestic relations.
Mike was born in Kaysville, Utah, on December 18, 1961. He received his primary education in the Orange County, California School District. His secondary education was in the Davis and Washington County, Utah School Districts. In 1980, Mike entered the University of Utah and graduated magna cum laude in 1984, with majors in political science and psychology. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his legal education at the University of Utah College of Law, during which time he served as Chief Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity and was named a William H. Leary Scholar.
Mike has successfully represented clients in a multitude of trials, jury trials and appeals in both the state and federal court systems. He has enjoyed speaking on various family law topics and has participated in the local, state and national bar and other associations. |
