Mike was named Vice President, Research and Chief Technology Officer in July 2007. For 6 years prior to that, he worked as a consultant. His clients, located throughout North America and Europe, included major capital equipment manufacturers, venture capital and private equity firms, investment banks and small high-technology start-up companies. Before that he was director of U.S. research at FEI from 2000 to 2001. Previously, he held the tier-I NSERC Research Chair in Nanomagnetism/Physics at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC and he was Professor of Physics at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. He also runs his own small software company, LLG Micromagnetics Simulator.
Mike has a B.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a M.S. & Ph.D. from Cornell University. |
