Michael R. Robertson serves as Director Human Resources and Administration for EMS Technologies Inc. at the Corporate Headquarters located in Norcross Ga. effective August 2005.
In this role Robertson is responsible for strategic oversight and direction for Human Resources Administration Corporate Communications/Public Relations Facilities & Maintenance Operations Training Safety & Environmental Health and Security on behalf of the company. He reports to the President.
Robertson previously served as Director of Human Resources where he was instrumental in transforming the company’s culture where employees are seen as the most valuable resource. Under his direction EMS has received notable recognition as a great place to work and the Employer of Choice.
Active in community involvement Robertson fosters collaboration between the business world and EMS to provide opportunities for employees to give back to the community. Robertson also a proponent of continuous education has created innovative ways for employees to learn both in and out of work settings as well as provide support to a variety of educational institutions in the area.
Prior to joining EMS Technologies Robertson amassed more than 20 years of human resources management with both large and small high-tech corporations. In addition he has experience in union and non-union environments.
Robertson is a graduate of Georgia State University and has focused his professional career on providing strategic human resources solutions in dynamic growth environments.
He is a mentor in the leadership development program Georgia 100 Association and also serves as chairman of the Board of the GIFT (Georgia Industrial Fellowship for Teachers) Program at Georgia Institute of Technology which offers teachers throughout Georgia summer fellowships. Robertson also serves as chairman of the Human Resources Society of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and on TAG’s Leadership Council and Executive Committee. Finally he is a member of the Peachtree Executive Advisory Board for FIRST which aspires to make science math engineering and technology as cool for kids as sports are today. |
