Michael R. Oswald is senior vice president and general manager for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation’s Recycling division. He assumed this position in October 2005. Most recently, he served as vice president of operations for the Recycling division. He is an officer of the company.
Mike has been in the recycling industry for 26 years and began his career at Smurfit-Stone as a fiber coordinator. He has held a variety of operational, sales and management positions with increasing responsibility, including facility general manager, regional manager of operations, and vice president and regional manager - east coast operations.
Mike earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a member of the AF&PA Recovered Fiber Executive Committee. |
