Mr. McCurdy has been in private practice for approximately 15 years. His civil litigation practice includes a broad range of substantive areas. Mr. McCurdy's extensive litigation experience in state and federal courts includes commercial and business matters, product and professional liability, employment, dram shop, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury cases. In addition to having defended cases against their insureds, Mr. McCurdy is experienced in defending insurers in bad faith actions and is skilled in analyzing insurance coverage issues. He also is experienced in the use of alternative dispute resolution procedures to avoid formal litigation. Mr. McCurdy is active in the Defense Research Institute's Business Litigation, and Excess and Reinsurance Groups. He recently served on steering committees for the American Law Firm Association and was an editor of its March 1999 International Client Seminar Course Book. Mr. McCurdy was born and raised in the Chicago area. He enjoys many outdoor athletic and recreational activities including skiing, camping, off-road four-wheeling, football, and softball. |
