R. Michael Kerber joined Boyden in 1999 after having worked for SIEMENS for more than 20 years. During his 8 years of expatriate assignments and 12 years of assignments in Germany he gathered world-wide experience in strategic planning, personnel management focussing on the identification and recruitment of high potentials for the internal consulting group, as well as in senior controlling and financial positions in the turnkey, systems, and product business.
He worked as expatriate in South Africa, Australia and Belgium, and managed extended projects in 8 further countries. His last management assignment was in Brussels as CFO and Vice President, which included the financial and controlling responsibility for the world-wide airfield lighting systems activities of 6 subsidiaries in Germany, France, Belgium and the USA.
R. Michael Kerber has additional experience in the areas of management buy outs, integration of different company cultures, turn around management, as well as project management of complex turn key projects mainly in public private partnerships and related financing like BOT models.
He concentrates his executive search activities on top management and group management levels without particular sectoral specialisation. However, the majority of his assignments was in the area of high tech and telecommunications.
In view of his extended international exposure and the related language knowledge he is focusing on filling vacancies in international industrial corporations and consulting companies. Michael is a member of the international high tech practice group of Boyden.
He studied at Hamburg University/Germany until 1981, and holds a degree in business and administration management.
