Description of Practice:Michael R. Farrell is a partner in the firm's Los Angeles office. His practice is concentrated on commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate, securities and employment litigation. Mr. Farrell represents both individuals and a variety of business entities and has significant trial and alternative dispute resolution experience. He has represented owners and developers in a wide variety of real estate disputes, including construction, financing and contract disputes. He has represented employers and supervisors in all aspects of wrongful termination and discrimination cases. He has participated in the defense of a shareholder at the trial of a multimillion dollar securities fraud claim. He has defended environmental claims under federal and state environmental laws, including CERCLA and state common law. He also has extensive experience representing landlords in various leasing disputes.
Mr. Farrell was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1994 and is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Educational History:Mr. Farrell received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in History from Yale University in 1989 and his J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1994. |
