Michael Rayfield is Vice-Chair, Investment and Corporate Banking, BMO Capital Markets, where he is responsible for corporate relationships in Canada, the United States and Europe. His appointment as Vice-Chair in November 2001 was recognition of the firm's commitment to strengthen and deepen its corporate coverage. Michael sits on the Canadian Management Committee.
Mr. Rayfield joined Bank of Montreal in 1982 as Senior Vice-President and Division Executive, Corporate and Government Banking. He was appointed Executive Vice-President in 1986.
Mr. Rayfield is a graduate of the Institute of Bankers, U.K.; the Senior Management Program at Harvard University; Advanced Executive Program, J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University; and has also studied at Cambridge University.
Michael is on the Board of Governors of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and is a Director of Canadian Institute for International Affairs (CIIA) and of Canadian Utilities, a public corporation.
He is a past Director of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, National Gallery of Canada, Canadian-American Business Council, former Cabinet Chairman of The United Way, and past President of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. |
