Michael P. Zeisser has been a director of IAC since August 2008, and has served as Senior Vice President of Liberty since September 2003. Mr. Zeisser joined Liberty in 2003 and oversees Liberty Media’s activities in electronic commerce, interactive gaming and digital media. As part of his responsibilities at Liberty Media, Michael has served on the boards of QVC, Inc., Provide Commerce, Inc., BuySeasons, Inc., Backcountry.com, Inc., GSN The Game Show Network, Fun Technologies, Inc. [TSX:FUN], GoPets, Ltd, Bodybuilding.com, Inc., and OpenTV Corp.
Prior to joining Liberty Media, Mr. Zeisser was a partner in McKinsey & Company in New York, where he co-founded McKinsey’s eCommerce Practice, and was a leader of McKinsey’s Media & Entertainment and Private Equity practices. Mr. Zeisser served Fortune 500 incumbents, top Internet businesses and private equity firms on corporate strategy, organizational effectiveness and M&A issues. He was one of McKinsey’s leading experts on internet businesses and the impact of digital platforms in the consumer goods, services, and media industries. Mr. Zeisser was a frequent speaker on industry issues at forums such as the AAAA, NAB, NCTA, OPA, @d:tech and Harvard University, has authored numerous articles and has been quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times and The Journal of Interactive Marketing. Mr. Zeisser also served on the founding board of the FAST Forward Coalition, a senior cross-industry group dedicated to the development of digital advertising, and the ITV Working Alliance.
Before McKinsey, Mr. Zeisser worked in Boston, MA for a now defunct start-up computer company and in France and Germany for Publicis, the anchor advertising agency of Publicis Group, the world’s 4th largest integrated communications group. |
